SWMS is now an official non-profit organization! That means that we need a formal method to track our membership and collect annual dues. As of October 2020, SWMS asks that all current members and any new members please complete the payment form below. The next form will ask for your contact info and some optional demographics.
Everyone^ is welcome to be a SWMS member!
SWMS Members get access to our mentorship program, Slack channel, communication opportunities, newsletters with resources, voting in elections, and events. In addition, you’ll be supporting our broader programming and advocacy efforts.
The minimum annual dues price is $5 USD.
Suggested amounts (in USD):
- $5 for students (any level) and job seekers
- $10 for postdocs or early career professionals
- $20+ for established professionals (staff scientists, faculty, etc.)

If you are interested in membership but cannot afford the membership dues, already pay member dues to your chapter, run into technical issues, or would like to use an alternative payment method (e.g. a check), please get in touch with the steering committee at swms.general.contact@gmail.com.
To manage an existing subscription, use your Memberful dashboard. If you signed up for our mailing list prior to October 2020 but have not paid dues, you will not be able to log in to Memberful. Let us know if need help logging in!
^ We anticipate that all of the content on our website and member materials will be appropriate for any age, but due to legal restrictions, we are only able to accept members over 13 years of age. Parents/guardians of children who are interested in SWMS can sign up for membership on behalf of their children.
